Stars rock out at Jay-Z’s annual Roc Nation brunch
The Carters are at it again as they hosted their annual Roc Nation Brunch as one of the most popular pre-Grammy events in the hip-hop community.
Diddy, Meek Mill, Kevin Hart, La La Anthony, Terrence J, and Meg the Stallion were just a few of the celebs who attended the star-studded event.
Rihanna caught the eyes of many as she strutted in wearing a Bottega Veneta getup.
Athletes and team owners such as Todd Gurley of the Los Angeles Rams, retired NBA all-star Zach Randolph, and Michael Rubin were spotted as well. PUMA sponsored some slippers for the stars to converse in comfort.
Jay-Z, dressed in a mauve-colored suit, and moseyed around and mingled with pockets of different guests. Hours in, Beyoncé arrived in her chill blue-mini dress designed by Francesco Murano. The power couple partook in an impromptu photoshoot where they switched between smiles and trill frowns. They made being moguls and culture royalty look dangerously easy.
Another highlight of the event occurred when Kevin Hart issued a toast to all the men in the room. It has become more commonplace for Hart to shine a light on others, reminding them of the highs and lows one endures on life’s journey.
“The question of the day is, how do you want your book to end,” Hart posed. “I’m around a bunch of men that are doing amazing things in their life. Basically, you’re writing chapters. Chapters get good; they get better. Some get worse. It’s your job to complete that book to the best of your abilities. My question today is, are you focused on the ending of your book? And if so, how great do you want to be?”
A number of people on Twitter criticized Hart for what they considered to be a weak and unnecessary speech.
That Kevin Hart speech was pointless if we’re being honest…

Everybody didn’t feel that wasy though.
For real. Kevin Hart worked hard, I remember seeing him in a club back in Philly before he blew up. Dude worked his ass off to get where he is. I don’t care how deep his speech may or may not be, his actions speak far louder. HATERS

Attendees were left with a sweet taste of inspiration from the 2020 Roc Nation Brunch. And to top the night off, Jay and Bey intentionally chose not to attend this year’s Grammy Award Show.
